6:00 pm. Usual time meeting. So usual that the predictability of when and where weren't a simple surprise anymore--but flattering, nevertheless.
However expected the "usual meeting time" had familiarized in her head, the impeccable woman still had a little knack for being a few minutes untimely. Female rituals were sacred to her, and if it involved flings and special people that kept a dear place in her proverbial heart in the past or any type of long history at all, she had to look to her most appealing and pleasing amongst an audience--even if the audience meant one person.
Who was she kidding? There was no time for looking ordinary or simply just cute anymore. The words didn't exist in her daily vocabulary and veritable schedule of immaculate beautifying courses. Not one spec of surface on her body would go unpolished or unclean and not one hair would be the exception of the wrath of the blade utensil to perfect anything being out-of-place of unfitting in this meticulous imagery. There was a gratifying experience to all her hard work when it came to being just a woman--the outcomes were never regretted and always satisfactory even if she went perfectionist-crazy-obsessed over her overall appearance. And it didn't matter what anyone told her about what she looked like or how good she looked like at 2am in the morning, her mind wouldn't be changed. Once her eyes peeped into the beaming rays of the morning sun, it was tunnel vision on her decision.
So like the last time this happenstance had taken place--she, once again--was a few minutes late and hastily cursed under her breath for Rumasai was always the patient angel she could count on whenever she raged diva on her antics. Her heels clicked anxiously through the sidewalks, trying to catch up with the last minutes of the shining sun before the street lamps start to alight her path unto the nearby park of Paradis Rouge - a place in where lush plant and wonderland galore was in radiant abundance at all times of the day and blooming at all times of the night. The goddess made sure her palace and the place she was sure she would call home reflected the same radiance and elegance she exerted from head to toe--which gave reason for the flowers nearby to glow brilliantly neon like in fairy tales and sparkling waterfalls to trickle and carry the sounds around to bristling trees with glittering fruits. One might say it was excerpted right out of the Avatar movie -- everything was of the same color and mystical aura as in their own paradise.
Skin can feel my lips, they tingle - tense anticipation.
The song had been stuck in her head ever since her journey in the walking closet to find something to wear. Anything. Last time she wore a dress - a beautiful, deep crimson dress that accentuated that glittering porcelain skin. The wane of the light into the white lights of the moonlight still did justice to that lovely shade of too pale. It made her look like the white queen; not too ghostly, not too glowy, but in the perfect creamy white tone many allured to stroke a finger across. And for that reason, she had to find something else that was perfect with that type of colored skin - of too fair, of too off, of something that wouldn't make it just blend and bore but exalt and make heads turn. For that reason, she snatched something of the green variety. Red had become too cliche for her taste and her hair already proclaimed that lovely delicate color. And in her haste, she felt too overdressed with just a blouse with a deep emerald green color that pinched over her lithe hourglass frame and nicely matched it with boot-cut skinny jeans that hugged her thighs a little too much and bright, yellow heels. Her accessories were always the simple silvery jingles she always seem to carry with her and the silver necklace with two rings at the end of the rope.
Her hair, thankfully, she let fall across her so it created little v-shapes around her figure and that gave her a big gust of relief. It made her feel a little more casual and the black skinny jeans always helped with the warm feeling of not over-impressing.
The woman now found herself staring from a nearby bench awaiting the arrival of her long time friend and old lover, Rumasai. She felt her a little human again at the thought of nerves, at the thought of beating hearts, at the sole thought of how it felt when a heart skipped a beat or stuttered too many times and the gut-wrenching feeling of, did she look okay? Did she over-do it? Was he going to talk to her or just walk away? Of thrills and chills and it made her all anxious again that the bright cerulean tone of her eyes had gone through a rainbow of emotional colors until settling between a mixture of turquoise. It had been a while since her eyes had even changed color, which is why she felt even more shaky than she had ever been in her inhumane life. But she still patiently waited, seeing if he showed up however many minutes late she was for this evening meeting.

He looked into the distance. He glanced at the setting sun, and kept his pace en route to the meeting place. His stomach had dropped multiple times this afternoon, and the feeling only grew as he neared his destination.
He wasn't dressed nicely, just his casual self. He fidgeted with his turncoat, and turned his head from left to right almost rhythmically, as if looking for someone. This wasn't his normal attitude, but a meeting like this hadn't happened in too long. He feared Lilly might not care for conversation with one such as himself anymore.
Rumasai gazed into the distance, and saw her sitting there. His past with her flashed before his eyes. Everything had come back, and his emotions were in a blender. He looked at her multiple times, and looked away quickly in a shy manner. He slowly approached the lovely figure. "Hey, you're looking great. It's been a long time." he said to Lilly. He couldn't keep himself at ease. He stood nervously.

Lilly, realizing that the presence was nearing and pulsating within her own aura feel, starting to fidget with the small silvery belt that had little circles where it didn't have ropes. Her slender fingers looped in between them and out of them and ran through her skin and back down in a cycle until they finished their destination in her pocket and back again at the same entrance of the belt loop. If she were human, she would be sweating bullets and the nagging phantom feeling wouldn't cease to build up an anxiety that would cause any sane person a panic attack until the breaking point of plain fainting in the middle of the streets. Her eyes blinked blue, then purple, then green once again until all the colors mixed into one and swirled around in that mystical glow they always had. The presence of meta-human was very near close and the smell of his delicious scent filled her nostrils - ever since Caleb, she made damn sure to be careful around humans. She had too many near experiences and mishaps to have more heartless vampire neon signs follow her history.
Proceeding to twirl around the two silver rings that met across her chest, her hand raced at a faster pace and a most annoying tapping sound emanated from the deadly inch of her yellow heel unto the cemented ground - a human was definitely approaching and his scent and richly warm blood was surely familiar to her heart. Many times she recognized by that sole factor ever since her high school years in where she did a big 'oops' and without Rumasai's consent, she proceeded to bite and pass on special powers like she had all the right to stake a claim amongst his flesh. Those days she always looked forward to erase - all the horrors, the heartaches, the errors of her ways and the foolishly immature mentality she so instilled unto others with pestilence. She wanted to seclude her history into the dark abyss of nothingness and hoped to goodness that her past really wasn't like that but the past usually unraveled with just one glance in Rumasai's direction - and everything just fell to the pit of her stomach. The proverbial shakes, the churns and chills and humane feels butterflies. Long, feathery lashes brushed against her defined cheekbones and she gulped in one small gust of breath before composing herself from the upcoming meeting, hoping to high heavens that this would still work and that Rumasai didn't want to blow her off realizing that he deserved a better friend than her, the queen of broken hearts.
Lifting her head, Lilly's eyes lit up a bit. Rumasai, always charming and approachable as he was, standing finally in front of her and breaking the ice with words - the only thing he had to hold onto for the sake of his sanity and probably hers. Just talk it all away, nothing really hurt or fluttered. Ever.
"Rumasai," the stunning woman breathed. Her voice, like always, sounded like little silvery sing-song bells - the chorus of plain angels. A broadening smile brightened her pearly whites and beautified her cupid-bow lips stained a soft rose color. It had been quite some time since the name touched her lips or tingled her tongue in that way.
"Oh, pish posh. Always with the compliments. You also look great! How have you been all these years?" She stood up to meet part of his height. Heels, although made up for part of it, still didn't make her as tall as she'd liked to be and that's one thing she also always remembered from Rumasai - his height.

Rumasai forced his body not to shiver upon hearing the girl's voice again. It still rang bells in his head, though he had almost forgotten her voice. This conversation would mean a lot to him, so he couldn't simply let it end early. He hoped that his endeavors to talk would be enough for this conversation to be held for a lengthy amount of time.
Rumasai looked down into Lilly's eyes, and smiled. He was astounded that this moment had come after so many years, and wasn't quite sure what to say, or which manner of action might be appropriate. "I've been well, Lilly. Thank you for asking. What of yourself? It's been much too long." Rumasai finally replied to the extravagant woman's question. He couldn't think too far ahead in conversation, so he kept his answers simple.

Gazing with those big feeling blue eyes of hers, Lilly cautiously took another step forward. She knew too many times how uncomfortable humans were with speedy vampires like herself doing everything in just one fluid movement. Taking a little slower pace, she invited herself to a heating hug from Rumasai. His skin was still that blazing hot temperature she liked in human beings - which is why most of the time she found herself surrounded by them instead of other unnatural creatures like herself. Squeezing in just itty bitty amounts, she retracted from the small, very quick embrace and collected herself into her usual poise and composure of representative woman. But for that quick second that she offered the hug in immediate little burst, it was too quick to withdraw, too little of time to get used to the after chill she got when the radiating heat from the blood that gushed through his veins left her own. It reminded her too many times of Caleb and his providing heat and how too many times she missed the comfort and felt way too empty when she was too aware of her own self and the temperature her body carried when compared to her tall saint's. And like those times, this time it left her feeling a little bit of the same - too empty of feeling, too quick the cold chasing the hot and the emotion that traveled through the feeling.
"I've been very well, thank you. Way more mature than you knew me and too open-minded." She pointed at herself for a quick second before letting her hand fall gracefully into the thick tresses of her glittering crimson hair. It shone bright and luscious in the pale light of the moon and gave her skin tone a bit more of a delicate kick due to just the blood color contrasted against the stark white of her skin.
Lilly could always make a conversation out of thin air, but at this time, the goddess found herself short of words or conversational prompts to keep this one going. And this was the gut-fluttering moment in where Rumasai realized too late that it wasn't worth it and that he should walk away because she didn't want to talk at the current loss of words, at the big fat lump that stuck through her throat when she tried to conjure something articulate and conversational - but all the words were wrong and all the things she wanted to convey just choked back into that dreadful past she wanted to keep repressing into the back of her head to never be scouted every again. She tried blinking it away, she tried parting her stained lips to talk, but just cool air came coming out in little bursts along with the fall of her shoulders which would often cause her emerald green blouse to ride up and from the friction ride up a little bit more successfully, exposing more than just the usual inch peak she was comfortable parading. All her being wanted to beg for mercy, get on her knees and plead how sorry she was for all those years of pain and trouble she caused everyone and how many she just lost by leaving and letting her high-strung mind constantly whirlwind around a new want and a new change and everything became a clusterfuck of so many emotions, the stunning vampire began to shake a little in her stand.
"Rumasai, I..." Words raced and blinked through her brain until they became black and grey blurs and her head was spinning. Everything exploded and settled at the same time and one decision ticked and the other didn't stick and whatever she was going to say stuck to the breath leaving her lips and the hand falling to the soft, delicate knit fabric of her blouse. "I hope you like this place. It's a wonderful little paradise I put together myself with years of patience and help."

Rumasai took a deep breath. He looked around the scenery of the place he now stood. This was the definition of paradise, as far as he knew. He fought to keep his breathing under control, nervous as he might be.
The quick embrace he shared with Lilly didn't seem long enough to him. He didn't want to push her though, so he let go willingly as she pulled away.
His mind was in disarray. He wasn't sure what to say. How to feel. He'd dreamed of the presence standing before him more than once weekly for years now. He wished all could be resolved for a happy ending, but he always figured that couldn't work. His feelings felt conflicted in many ways, but he knew what he wanted.
"This place is perfect, Lilly." he managed to squeeze out. He felt short of breath, but didn't have any desire to show that. Suddenly, he took a quick step toward the glorious figure to embrace her in a tight hug, one he hoped would last longer than the hug just prior. "I've missed you so... Nobody can know how I've longed to see you again." he said softly. "I hope that we can keep contact this time."
Rumasai spent most of his time alone until he had met Lilly. For years, she was the one certain thing in his life. Before, it had been loneliness. He wanted this moment to last an eternity if possible, but knew that wasn't a feasible option.
"I'm glad to hear you've been well. It looks like you've found a great place." he said, scanning the environment again.

The goddess watched the other man's every move, scrutinizing his body language, stripping apart every meaning to every move, twitch or look. It was a natural mechanism, a desperate search for a sign that they both, as despondent as they seem to be at the moment, were in the same page when it came down to feelings. She already felt stripped of anything comfortable to rely on, like an inanimate object and/or human contact in this situation was out of the question. They weren't just frilly friends that touched each other at any whim and will and Lilly had more lady decency than that.
"The place is perfect, Lilly." Immediate beam blossomed across the stunning features. The redhead had worked hard to make this place as immaculate and perfect to cleanse the sin and filth that had covered it once. It elated her that everyone else, especially Rumasai, appreciated her work. Everyone dreamed of living in paradise, and she only wanted to make everyone's dreams come true to the extent of her power and this beautiful creation of lush terrain came to fruition in a couple of years. She also made sure the creatures of the night had a piece of the ravishing elegance and enchantment this place withheld as it was a treasured piece of her mind - all the glowing, glittering, the way everything fluttered and shimmered and seemed magical and whimsical. It was her own little piece of wonderland for everyone to enjoy. The gods were kind to grant her the power to and lending hand to make this wish come true.
Suddenly, the woman found herself trapped in a warming embrace from her long-term friend. Long, feathery eyelashes fluttered to her cheekbones in slight confusing, her eyebrows puckering a little bit in the same riddled emotion - was she imagining things? She knew she had given him an involuntary hug, but that had just finished in a matter of seconds. Her bright blue eyes peeped from their feline shape to see a shoulder covering most of her view - curse her damned height, but it was true and she wasn't imagining things. She was being embraced by the person who's rapport had terminated in terrible terms and that scorching heat emanating from the rush of his blood and his racing pulse gave her a proverbial sense of warmness and the emptiness was gone for just that blissful second... and then the hug with all its warm and tingly sensations were gone along with the fulfilling feeling. The space in between grew too big and the emptiness inside of her, from filled went immediately back to its empty content.
"But of course we'll see each other! You're sticking around for a while, right?" She forgot to express the part in where she wanted to shout that she missed him too, that she wanted to re-live the moments in where she was with old familiar friends and family and everything was fairy tale perfect, but she kept deluding herself that the hug actually meant something, that her controlled emotions exploded in that instant, that her body ached and shivered from wanting to make another closer encounter if it were possible without feeling like a creeper.

Rumasai nodded, and as hard as he fought it, he let off a smirk. "Yes, my intention is to stick around for a little while, though I really don't know when I'll be departing once again. Regardless, we should make what we can of this time that we have now." he said. He really didn't have any suggestions though.
He began fiddling with his turncoat again. <Damn... How do I keep this conversation going...?> he thought. He was really never one to show what he was feeling or any emotion, so this was an odd feeling for him.
He then realized that he'd never been to this paradise before. He quit looking around to look the magnificent figure than stood before him in the eye. "Actually... This goes without saying, but I really don't know this place too well. After all, I've never been here. How about showing me around?" he asked in an endeavor to keep this conversation going.

The smile once flourishing her beaming countenance began to dull and become lifeless, like the lack of glint in her eye. Rumasai was planning on leaving eventually, then?
"Oh..." Was the only thought she could offer, all the chipper and bouncy body language began to just sag and remain in place instead of wavering around nervously like she had been not even moments ago. The balled fist collected next to her chest had slowly begun to drop to her side, all the lifted expressions correlating with the sadness overwhelming the thought of that forlorn - it was all too painful to think about, to relive the past in the way their rapport had ended.
Immediately trying to dispel the thoughts, the woman successfully eluded the situation by collecting herself and the slightly gaping 'o' shape her lips were parted in. With a nervous chime of laughter and a sweep of her hand through her red hair, she pulled off the most superficial mask of the century one of her many ex-lover's would have been proud of. She didn't feel like divulging a stupid splurge of hormone-riddled emotions like an idiot and she also didn't feel like elaborating at all about the matter... or the fact that her mind was trying to delude itself in the gratifying thought that she didn't feel a wild pang whenever her bright blue eyes flickered in his direction or the flurry of emotional strings that went in motion every time he looked her a certain way or touched her a certain way. And in her anxiety to pull off the best expression she could, the woman kept finding herself blocked by an disturbingly emotional constructed solid wall of clashing feelings.
The sudden blank stare was soon startled by the distracting realization that the goddess hadn't been good host enough to offer a little stroll around the island she cherished so closely.
"Right, right! Sorry." She immediately amended, her hands flying everywhere through her body, fixing and flattening and rearranging as if she needed another reality check and a mirror to make sure she still, after all of these confusions, looked her best. Everything was attacking her at once and she found herself once again trapped like a deer caught in headlights - not knowing what to do. Everything was so much more easier when it came to her beloved Caleb - he was like a kid, a lost puppy that needed guidance, not a lost-long lover that haunted her memory and the past life she so pressed to forget. How had everything become such a battle to act normal?
"Oh, you'll love it here, Rumasai. It's a wonderful little corner I call home." Mindlessly, her arm looped through his and she found herself pulling the other through her charm in a 360 degree turn from her new distraction she could immerse herself without having to question how in the heck she had to act or do this. It was easy enough, like showing any guests who had been her close friends what the island was like and the wonders in a magical, personal tour.
Pulling him through the park, she immediately paused to a stop in front of a glittering tree. The bristling sound of little branches became a remarkable symphony with the wind's cooing whisper, and in turn made everything seem that more whimsical and withholding some sort of magical mystery. In one sudden fluid movement, the red-headed vampire had disappeared only to reappear with easy gliding steps with a glowing fruit in her hand. She stretched her china-white fragile arms in his direction, offering the tasty natural sugary delicacy with an upward dip of her hand.
"It's a type of pomegranate, but like in steroids. The fruit glows an wonderful rainbow of colors, and in turn, the delicious aroma becomes intoxicating, but you'll fall more in love if you take a bite. It's a rich bite of sugary heaven, promise." Batting those long, feathery, sugar-coated lashes, Lilly found herself offering--albeit innocently--rather more than just the fruit with her inviting features and overly excited expressions.

Rumasai knew that he had darkened the mood by merely mentioning that he would eventually be leaving. He'd barely arrived, so this wasn't the time to mention anything of the sort. The more important matter at hand was being an excellent guest to the goddess showing him around the paradise. He wanted the familiar touch of her hands. Remembering everything in a mere moment, he came back to his thoughts. This wasn't the time to be daydreaming. His former love, who was now serving as his hostess for the evening, was doing what she could to show him around. "Right, right! Sorry." Lilly's words echoed in his ear. Back to reality. Rebuilding his composure, Rumasai shook his head. "Think nothing of it, my lady." he said with a bow. As the beautiful woman's arm wrapped through his own, he suddenly had to think about how to even walk normally. <Years... It's been years...> he thought. He mostly listened to the chirping of birds, the calling sound of crickets, and the whistle of the wind. Everything fell into place just the way he thought a paradise should be. He could already tell, he was going to miss this place when he left. If he left. The two approached the tree, and accepting the fruit from his former beloved, he quickly inhaled. Her facial features were the only thing, worldly or otherworldly, that could give him any butterflies in his stomach. Rumasai smiled. "Just like you said, this place is far more than worthy of being called a paradise." he began. "The breeze in just right, the botany is soothing, the environment is most welcoming, the air is fresh," he paused to take a breath. <C'mon, just say it...> "and what I said back there, I said 'you're looking great.' I truthfully mean that your beauty is absolutely stunning as it always has been. You're still incredibly gorgeous, as I've always remembered." he said, and kissed the back of her hand. "This place, this paradise, is perfect." he finished, and took a bite of the delicious fruit that he had been handed. Suddenly, the towering figure's cold body began to feel abnormally warm. He removed his turncoat, and rested it on his right shoulder. "My apologies for my indecency." he stated, and finished the fruit.

Everything had been flowing beautifully between the two, but there was one foreboding detail that could put a certain strain in the way things were easing. That minor detail, one little thing the goddess had forgotten to shut down and shun away to make this evening perfect without interruptions - her senses. It was something she could control now after centuries of crafting and practicing to perfect her powers and learn to control with patience all of her abilities. From time to time, however, when there was an overwhelming wave of emotion swooping her strongly, it enabled these little antics she couldn't help but not shut down what slipped through the cracks of what she couldn't control whilst wavering. The play of high strung emotions were a strong wave far more than she had felt in a while and so, the first thing that crossed those lovey facial planes were the rigid type strain and tightness that could only leave her slightly frozen in her steps and staring a little blankly at her former lover. After all of these years, all these emotions had awakened and stirred in her and the confirmation of his thoughts, of the overly warmth of his skin and of his body language rang in her head like a pulsating heat-aura in little wavelets that numbed her skin. That bright mixture of aquamarine settled owlishly in Rumasai's direction before remembering to blink several times, bring her lips to life with a small smile; a bright color began to pool over her cheeks, bringing the china-white colour some semblance of life.
I wanna watch the way you creep across my skull...[/color]
There were a lot of things that Lilly could bring herself to believe in her glory days of ignorance and development, but she never thought that after years of estrange relationships with her past that anything like this would surface. Her presence was left flabbergasted, gaping a little unsightly at her friend's frame, ogling while he ate her fruit offering. What would she say to that? What could she say to that? Instead, her lips fumbled with ungraceful inarticulated words, her slender hands immediately dismissing each out-of-place strand of hair and swiveling around her countenance before sighing a little flustered.
"Rumasai..." she began a little breathlessly, her sing-song voice surprisingly genuine and too real. Her eyes went a little inky in his direction for a split second and her body subconsciously inched in response to the kiss he softly placed upon her hands. She was about utter something incoherent and probably not thought out so she decided to close those rosy lips and fumble awkwardly when Rumasai took out his turncoat a little abruptly, his human warmth radiating like a furnace in her direction, causing her attention to focus on this peculiar detail and a pucker to appear between her eyebrows. Those long lashes inched closer to their lower twins and her gaze, thin and a little suspicious eyed him and dismissed in the same vein his apology absentmindedly.
"Rumasai, are you okay?" Immediately, like a worried hen, the goddess invited her hand to come in contact with her former lover's face, the digits palming the temperature a little and finding some strange comfort in their touch that it wasn't until it became prominent in her features that her slender fingers were slightly caressing Rumasai's features.

Caught off guard by Lilly's quick approach toward his face, Rumasai's body jolted to face his dear friend's direction. His turncoat dropped from his shoulder, he caught it behind his back with his left hand, and placed his right on Lilly's hip in reaction, all in a motion so fluid that it seemed practiced. Upon realizing his subconscious motion, his head dropped, and his eyelids hid his almost black pupils.
Am I...? Is it wrong to admit that I miss you? That I still remember your touch? Your smell? Your face, voice, and the way you speak?
The tall figure sighed. It had been a long time since he'd felt anything. The powerful surge of emotions was almost too much for him. He picked his head up enough so that he could look the goddess in the eye without hiding from behind his brow.
"I'm quite alright, Lilly. Thanks for asking." he paused, and slowly moved his hand to the upper portion of Lilly's back. "And what of yourself? Are you okay?" he asked. Words weren't coming to his mind to ask. The sudden contact and his initial reaction had already stirred up a frenzy of emotions, and so his mind was shrouded.

Lilly had no idea the impact she would actually cause by playing the touching-caring card. So it was when Rumasai immediately jolted to life at her touch, the vampire was caught slightly off-guard as well in that slight fragment of a moment, her lithe frame jumping stiffly backwards, her vampire reflexes falling on his arm and how immediately caught her with amazing dexterity and speed that even the creature didn't foresee and was successfully brought up closer to that warmer skin of her human friend. In all her worry, the red-head didn't realize that she might be startling her former beloved instead of making him at ease and feel better. The aquamarines went through a startling rainbow of colors, settling in an alarmed mixture of yellow and green, her shoulders squeezing and rolling up toward her neck to get a better look at Rumasai. Her eyelids dropped with the dip his posture took, but the sudden full-posture and eye-to-eye level brought them too close-faced that it flustered her further if it was even possible at this point. She looked worse than a deer caught in headlights and it kept frustrating her in the back of her head that she felt so out of touch all of a sudden in front of Rumasai.
"I'm quite alright, Lilly. Thanks for asking."
Unfortunately, despite his attempt to dismiss away whatever trouble him at the moment, all the goddess paid attention to was the smooth movement of his fingers sweeping through her contours and perching themselves comfortably on the small of her back. The touch brought a series of electrifying sensations in her, but her eyes were wide and startled, staring endlessly into Rumasai's. The touch was progressively taking the breath out of her, so the following question did not quite register because her thoughts were racing far ahead of what she was thinking and to her dismay, her lips moved to spew something that her body did voluntarily without the consent of her brain.
"I have missed you so much, Rumasai. I wish I could erase my high school years from all the pain and heart break I caused..." the sing-song voice threatened to break in that one moment where her eyes got stricken with a washed out gray streak and her pretty little red head dropped, finding comfort in the warmth of his skin before involuntarily pulling her head back to reel the princess veneer status she presented when he had first arrived.
"I'm sorry..." she whispered, recomposing herself once more and pulling the mask of a century.
"Are you hungry? Would you like to go somewhere to eat?"

Rumasai gazed through narrow eyes into Lilly's stare before she spoke, and observed the wide array of colors the beautiful woman's eyes displayed.
Beautiful.
His naturally hot body felt the slightest bit warmer in this instant. He noticed the goddess' stiff jump as he reached for her. Had he moved too quickly? Was his involuntary reaction an inappropriate one? Whatever the case, Lilly seemed to be going with it. He remained silent for the time being.
"I have missed you so much, Rumasai. I wish I could erase my high school years from all the pain and heart break I caused..."
The seemingly lifeless giant continued to breath deeply through his nose. The former sentence was a sentiment he wholeheartedly shared. As for the latter statement, he'd been gone so long, he could have forgiven anything short of a murder attempt. Lilly was special. He didn't want to see her sad.
"I've missed you dearly, my lady. I'd rather not have our past erased though. I learned so much. I was able to experience so many things. We definitely had some crazy times, but I wouldn't change any of it for the world. It also gave me the opportunity to stand by your side for a little while." he stated in a comforting voice, barely louder than a whisper.
He began to choke on his words while admitting that having the full-blood by his side was a major reason he wouldn't ever turn back time.
"There's no need to worry, mon cheri. There isn't a thing to apologize for. If I felt any hostility toward you, I wouldn't have accepted your invitation to this paradise." he continued while his hostess lay her head on him.
I sincerely hope that isn't how she thinks I think of her...
Rumasai suddenly sprung to life, and his thoughts were completely collected this time. He'd had a long walk to the paradise, so something to eat sounded like a fantastic idea. "Oh, I'd love to get a bite to eat! My senses are beginning to dim a little bit, and so I must feast rather soon. You lead the way, Lilly." He wore a great grin, and his newfound joyful voice resonated as brightly as ever.
I certainly hope they serve my kind here.

The skin around those yellow/green orbs began to slowly close and open several of times until they slowly lowered to meet with their lower twins in a narrow stare. The yellow/green hue began to saturate until it became a spicy cinnamon color, reflecting the slight suspicion arising inside that pretty little head of hers. The red-head vampire knew her former lover for far too long to believe nothing was wrong, but all suspicion was brought to a pause when Rumasai reeled Lilly's attention back to what she had involuntarily uttered in a moment of weakness. When he began to speak, Lilly tried not to cringe--she had been afraid of what Rumasai would think of her and her head began to swarm immediately of all the what if's and but's that she could come up with and the air all of a sudden began to cloth with all the tension from before, causing the already stiff contours to tense up and jut out a little more than usual, the depression in her lips sinking in further and disappearing a little with the small wane of light shining in a direction that sunk half of her features and alighted delicately the opposite sides. However, the tall man before her seemed to prove all of her hasty thoughts wrong, leaving her instead a little befuddled and feeling extremely idiotic. It caused her head to shrug a little against her body, her slender palm rising up to press against her forehead and drop to pinch the bridge of her nose. It caused hot to chase cold, for phantom emotions to surface and take control and cause those eyes to wheel in colors until settling in a flustered shade of very light, glassy pink and for little blood to pool in noticeable areas that immediately caused those crimson tresses to collect and hide part of her countenance.
"Oh..." was all Lilly could finish uttering at his words, but her mind finished the sentence for her.
Well, don't I feel awfully stupid.
However, there was some kind of twinge in the way Rumasai said things, in the way he held her close and tried to keep reassuring her, like trying to hide something or hinder her from noticing things women were naturally perceptive to, especially with such a powerful trait like a vampire possessed. It was against what she had vowed to, but the stunning creature decided to prod inside the mind of her friend because naturally-protective-friend worry wouldn't let her live down not doing so. She was in close contact with him, so it would come a little easier to her without getting persuaded by anything else that the moment her finger gently landed on his forearm, the electrifying touch brought an extra pair of somewhat warped/whispered voice to her mind that she recognized as Rumasai's thoughts--to her advantage, there were plenty of them albeit a little quiet. Her furrowed eyebrows picked up a languidly, the light penetrating the sunken shadows playing across her defining features, bringing them to life with a new-found suspicion and slight alarm that left the goddess both once again, features puckered and confused. He seemed joyful about the subject and his last thought brought verbal jargon to the tip of her tongue without trespassing those rosy lips.
Closing in to step on her tip-toes and meet eye-level with Rumasai, the cinnamon orbs gazed with some gravitation to them, studying those features as if they were new or altered in some way she couldn't possibly recognize.
Lilly couldn't help but to act on sheer compulsion on this moment and without further movement, she surprisingly said more verbally composed now, "What do you mean your kind here?" The words sounded a little lower than her usual trilling soprano and instead of worry, they were swathed thickly with type of worry that was more alarmed than actually nervous about the underlying of his thoughts.
