Role Playing Documentation
[/li][li]Sexual contents.
Article 1:
There is absolutely no sexual [or mature, more aptly called by ProBoards Terms of Services] content to be role played, explained or explicitly objected/implied for the simple reasons that it is forbidden by major ProBoard creator rules to ever exist in any forum. Appy-polly-logies.
Article 2:
Of course, sex isn't permitted--when it comes to role playing--in ProBoards and may get any site forewarned and later on deleted or banned until further notice. I'll please ask you to try your hardest when it comes to explaining or role playing certain things, like sexual tension between a couple or two people with attraction, to be kept to a minimum or to be discrete/well-worded. There's a difference between having a mature discussion about certain things and role playing anything with explicit content.
[/li][li]God Modding.
Article 1:
Please, no Mary Sues or Gary Lou's! Every character must have some sort of flaw and or a weakness. No one is perfect, god or not.
Article 2:
Do not control another person's post or character.
If you must to cross over a point, notify the person who's being controlled and ask for permission. If you're walking and going into a cafe, you're independent in that case. Assume you walked along and the person followed along, but do not mention how the person followed you. That is controlling the character.
Article 3:
If there's a fight or a war going on in between, get hit at the least 2 out of 3-4 times or at least scraped or scratched. This applies under the "Mary Sue/Gary Lou" rule.
Again, everyone has flaws and makes miscalculations. You can block once or twice, try to hit someone else--do not assume that you immediately hit them--but also get hit once or twice from time to time.
Article 4:
Do not make your character know everything. Your character does not know everything, they do not know where everyone is and they can't sense everything when it's very far away. Do not automatically make your character know where everyone is, the cure to everything, every spell or how to work with someone. Not everyone appreciates a know-it-all and a self-absorbed character. Compliment other characters as well; do not give all the credit to your character by your other characters. Also, everything is not a competition. Do not make everything seem like you're the best, the oldest, the tallest, the smartest, the wisest. Again, give credit to other characters as well. This applies under the "Mary Sue/Gary Lou" rule. Golden rule, follow it.
Please just try to keep everything as close to reality as possible with certain things. It is understandable that a lot of things in fictitious role playing aren't remotely close to reality, but emotion, common sense, knowledge and certain things still remain the same as if it were humans in a real world.
Above all, make sure to have fun and try to make everyone else around you have fun as well!
[/li][li]Communication.
Article 1:
If communication is needed through the role playing posts, you may enclosure your conversation with the following: []; [[]]; (); (()); {}; {{}} or using common IC [in character] and OOC [out of character] communication. I'll ask to not overly use this method for a conversation that can be kept through PMs, IM or the C-box wonderfully provided in the side tables under "Chat" of the site.
[/li][li]Availability.
Article 1:
I understand there are certain people you'd like to avoid when it comes to role playing for personal reasons or that you simply prefer to role play with a selected few. If that is the case, make your role play's availability known with the following:
[/li][li]Rules.
Article 1:
If you'd like to keep certain elements in a role play, please make a rule list at an opening post of the thread to disclose what specifically you would like to be kept in semblance.[/li][/ul]
- Originality.
Article 1:
When it comes to creating a role playing thread, make it an original plot. If it's cannon, make sure to announce at the beginning of your thread that it's a cannon role play.
If you're creating one from an idea you saw on another site or from another person - don't. Plagiarism is a sin in the writing community and it will not be tolerated on this site. At all. Cease and desist before you even try to copy and tweak at your will. You will be banned/prosecuted. - Posting rules.
If there's more than two people in a role playing thread, create a pattern of posting. Do not post without waiting for the other person that needs to post first without the person's consent

- [aw]: All Welcome
- [private invite]: Only the people invited in this role play may join it. It is also very convenient if after the private invite, inside your post you put who are the people you want to role play with you so they know who's invited and who isn't (if you haven't PMed the selected role players already.)
- [One-on-one]: Only you and another person are allowed to role play in this thread.
