It had been exactly three full years since he'd dared set foot in Twilight City.Three years since hed left =, preparing never to come back.Three years away. Yet he still kept in touch with her. When he could find a secure line hed send crypted messages, and rare as it was she'd reply in the code she'd been taught.
His body still bore the scars from Fury's attack, as well as the bite mark where Hawk had bitten him.Other marks covered his body here and there but that was what happened when you were a street rat.
On the nights he was warm and fed he dreamt of her On the cold hungry nights he thought of her. It Puzzled him how a Princess could need a Rat like him in her life.
The night had started badly for those in the clan. First Hawks computer system had a bug in it which not only disabled the security system but had set of the firealarm of. TSecondly the wrong food had been wrong. He laughed as he imagined there faces.
And strangely enough in the middle of her ruined dinner a single rose was delivered to her. If the girl didnt know the boy was back in the coven he'd be surprised.
Whilstthe family were at dinner The boy made his way into her rooms. Nothing had changed, She was in the same room. This had been so easy just like last time. He didnt sit on her bed to wait, he didnt want to dirty it with his clothes. Having one set of clothes was an inconvience sometime. Like now his hands and face was clean but his clothes his hair where gtimey.
Not even he could remember when hed last had a bath although he had attempted to clean himself up some and the contrast showed.Placing the second Rose on her pillow he stood behind the door and waited.. Safe in the decion should a gaurd happen a long hed have a good chance of escape. He'd learnt last time how unpredictable the gaurds were a mistake that had gotten him hurt last tim. And besides he never made the same mistake twice.

This was hell. Arabelle sat at the dinner table, after the fire alarm had gone off, with her head resting on her fist and a sigh reaching her throat. Board out of her mind, her uncle Hawk was having a screaming match with Kai and Mikal who were all blaming each other for the mistake. It was ridiculous. Though she had closed her eyes for just a moment, when the rose was placed on her plate. A gasp was all she let out, before snatching it and running from the room. No one realized she was gone, and wouldn't until Hawk, Kai, and Mikal calmed down. In the privacy of the hall she looked down at the rose in her hand, beautiful in all it's lonliness she felt the urge to cry. And then it hit her. All the mistakes that had gone wrong, a smile bloomed from her face, as a name popped in her head. Syn. Getting his own revenge on her clan, as well as giving them time to be alone. She should be angry for sneaking back into her home, and making a fool of their clan once more, but all the feelings that occupied her heart was happiness and excitement.
Taking off fown the hall, up the stairs and towards her room, she couldn't wait to see if he indeed was their. Bursting through the door, she smelled him. Not the dirt or grime, but behind that, to his own unique scent that was truly his. She first saw the rose on her pillow, and as she turned the door was closing and their he was. Standing their for a moment, taking in the site of him, she couldn't help but launch herself at him, heedless of the dirt that coated him as her elegant arms wrapped around his neck. She was a few years older, true, but she looked yougner than him, as well as short.

"Miss me then?"Syn asked a little shocked at the sight if his princess launching herself at him. Catching her deftly in his arms, he held her close, drinking in her scent as if it was heaven sent. Which of course it was to the boy. "Youre going to get Mud on your dress your mom will throw a fit" He warned protective of her. Syn didnt want her to get in trouble because of him.
He was curious to the reaction of the gaurds over his little tricks but didnt dare ask her. He didnt want to stir any bad feelings into the air. Instead his only question concerning her family was simple "How long till Some one comes Looking for you?" Syn had no worry for himself. It had taken them weeks to find him last time. He was confident that this time it would be the same.

Tears were wanting to fall from her baby blue eyes, but she bit her lip, holding them at bay. The feel of his arms around her, was heaven, something she hadn't felt in much to long, something she had to live without for years. Messages in secret was not enough for her, not even close. But him, being here, near her right now, was perfect. Lifting her head from the crook of his neck she beamed up at him, noticing the changes in him.
"Don't worry about the dress. I have more. As for the others, depends. If Kai, Hawk, and Mikal stop arguing with each other, then it could be any moment since their going to want us to get to a safe place in case someone breached the securities." Giving him a pointed look, she took his hand and led him to her bed, not even worried about the dirt that was sure to smear on her silver bed cover. "Come and sit with me. Tell me what you've been up to! I was worried, I didn't think you'd gotten my last letter Syn, it's been months with no word." A frown marred her brow, though dismissing it since he was here now.

"Someone did..... Me" Syn smirked quietly to himself. He was enjoying Hawk's troubles tonight. It was just a little extra whilst he got to spend some time with Arabelle. He took note of her soft features, it was clear in her eyes a little sadness beckoned
"i have something for you, I know I missed your birthday " Syn searched his pockets pulling out a brown paper bag. Inside was a silver plated necklace. It wasnt worth more than a few dollars and he knew she would have many in her jewellery box but it meant something to Syn. Hed worked for it himself honestly The chain held a love heart on its centre with there initals on it "Its not much but I came by it honestly So I hope you like it"
Sitting on the bed he took her clean soft hand in his grubby rough one. "I'm sorry Ive not be able t get ahold of a secure line for long enough only for my distraction so I could come visit. Your last message you sounded a little upset I wanted to see youre allright"Syn admitted giving her hand a light squeeze. "As foir where Ive been your gypsy friend put me in touch with some travellers been working with them. It gave me cover for a while as your grandpas agents are still looking for me. Doesnt give up easily does he?"
"Hawk!Mikael!Kai!" Bisa called them to order. Someone had to and no one had yet attempted to .She had already despatched Riley and Isabelle with orders to search the house."This squabbling wont find whats set the alarms off. Hawk you should check the computer and Kai and Mikael should help search the place"
Bisa had never stood up to all three before and never whilst they were bickering
Kai looked at her for a moment before returning to his arguement with the two men about what should have been done about the situation.

The gift brough tears to her eyes, heart squeezing painfully. The necklace would be something she would hold dear for eternity. She knew if they didn't work out, which was a very real possibility, she would always have it near to remind her of the good times they had. Clasping the necklace in her hands she looked up at him as he spoke to her. She was listening to his voice, but all she saw was his face, taking her hand she brought it to his cheek and gently kissed him. "Thank you for my present. I love it. Whether you came by it honestly or not." And truthfully it wouldn't have mattered, but it was even more special that he worked to get this for her. Made the love she had for him bloom to bigger heights. At his tale with the gypsies, a smile broke across her face, as she moved closer to his side.
"Really? I knew Romany would help when I asked her. She's truly amazing! How long will you be staying?"

Hawk heard his wife's voice, As Kai stopped to stare at her, as did Mikal and Hawk. But they gave her a casual look as if to say "We're talking not arguing", then went right back to their shouting match. Each blaming the other.
"This is not my fault!"
Mikal gave Hawk a furious look. "You Mr. I am Security Genius, is your fault! Your suppose to be on top of this. And now it tripped."
Hawk gave him a glare. "Or it could mean someone is actually in the house." Which made them all pause and have a 'duh' look on their faces. "Well I'll be damned."

Syn smiled. He hadnt in truth expected such a reaction to his trinket. And the simple kiss she had given in return rendered him speechless. Something that didnt happen too often. It was moments like this that made each forary in to her world. "I dont know yet" He answered truthfully "My visit depends on how long it takes for them to find me" He added with a shrug . "I do know your uncles system is still too easy to crack"

"Well Mr computer genius have you checked the computer" Bisa demanded . It was done telepathically of course. She wasnt going to join in there arguement. It would be no use as all three where stubborn as Mules.
"Its stopped" Kai sounded amazing as the wail of sirens seem to sieze. He sounded shock at the thoughtWhat he didnt realise it was just Syn's program doing what it was supposed to do.
"That system of yours Hawk it doesnt work... It just messed up right?"

Arabelle chuckled at his comment on her uncles system. "Well he'll just keep making it better and better. What if he makes it where you won't be able to see me." At that thought her eyes glazed over in tears, something she was prone to when it came to this boy and her not seeing him. She wanted to see him all the time, a forbidden love that was even now still blooming between them. She would be old enough soon to make her own decisions on who she would be able to see. But could she defy her family? Give them up for the boy before her? "We have a new green house. Something I got for my birthday. You can sleep their, and Fury will watch out for you." The dog that had only years ago attacked Syn on command, had now grown quite fond of him.

Hawk had a bad bad feeling. "Someone send for the girls. Have them all come down to the library this instant. Kai and Mikal come with me to the control room." Telepathically, yes. But also having a manual room where they could check it as well.

"Trust me Ara, there are no computer systems I cant hack in to" Syn boasted with a grin. He didnt want to sound prideful just to reassure her."I very much doubt your Uncle is going to be the first to create it" He answered putting one grubby arm around her . He shuddered slightly at Fury's name. Although he and the dog had become firm friends he still mistrusted the animal. "Where is Fury anyway I didnt see him yet" Syn had gone out of his way to avoid the dog.Avoiding everywhere he might have been.

Kai nodded "I still say the systems broke Hawk this is Just a waste of time " He muttered heading out ahead of the others
~Ill find the girls and damon and bring them, to the libary. Anything else ?~ Bisa took her orders with a smile not waiting for Hawks answer . She knew her children were safe Damon by now would be with Isabelle and Riley could take care of herself . Besides she more or less agreed with Kai that it was just a false alarm and Hawks computer would show it.
Syn knew the computer would appear to show normal. He was pretty sure the vampipre wouldnt find his simple programme hidden in the complex computer.

Arabelle smiled at his confidence. And yet, she knew one day her uncle would indeed create a program that would keep him and anyone else out. Syn was only adding more fuel to that certain obessision. "She's somewhere around here." Two fingers came to her mouth as a loud piercing whistle, strangely, only the dog could hear, came from her lips. Footsteps could be heard and a scratch on the door soon after. A flick of her wrist had the door swinging open and Fury herself padded inside. The doberman gave Syn the eye, then promptly came over to give him a light lick in greeting before placing herself next to Arabelle. "See, she's tame now. And she'll take good care of you."

Hawk cast Kai a withering look. "A waste of time? That system is going to keep us safe of mighty one. If I can only get it right. Perfection takes time."
Mikal snorted. "As if."

Fishing out a piece of sasuage from his pocket he offered it to Fury. It had been one half of his breakfast but he didnt mind sharing with the dog. "Wont they think it odd if she's not with you?" He asked stroking Fury lightly on her head. Syn knew he could more or less look after himself, and given the choice he would prefer it if Fury was by her side.
Syn froze as he heard footsteps in the hall and the soft rap on Arabelles door .
"Ara"Came the friendly voice Riley had come to search for her on her mothers orders."Ara ...you have to come to the libary. My dad wants us to all meet there. "Riley knocked again sa she demanded a response from her friend. Like everyone else Riley didnt know Syn came to visit or even he and Ara were dating,It was safer that way
"Go"Syn Mouthed and kissed her cheek "ill get cleaned up and see you later I promise" He whispered softly in her ear.

"You know if Falc was here he'd talk sense into you Hawk" Kai shrugged. He had sympthy for the fact Hawk's computer security had failed and wished the one time it seemed to fail Falcon was away with Romany on a much needed holiday. A holiday Falcon had little choice in. "The computers messed up all day, this is just another. Admit it Hawk, the old way without the computer was better"
He stood by the offending machine in the control room waiting for Hawk to see his system fail him
"Im sure it can be fixed" Bisa was the last in . Her words defending her husbands creation. "It just needs a little time. You two should stop bickering so Hawk can have peace to check out the computer"She glared at Kai and Mikel as she spoke "The girls damon and blaze are headed for the libary, Sloanes on patrol What would you like me to do next Hawk" She liened in the doorway a grin on her lips "Should someone tell Sebastion what's going on?" Bisa was only a part time gaurd now a days but someone was needed to take change right now and she was the one prepared to do so with Falcon away.
