A small strip of wrinkled, torn paper was slowly run through a young man's fingers as his eyes strayed to his surroundings checking the name of the shop front before him against the street and the paper. He had checked all three of these things four times now expecting somehow that the street would change or the shop number would be one off. His back met the thatched wall with an audiable thump, the action forcing the air out of his lungs in a dishearted sigh. He'd been loitering around the doorway for nearly twenty minutes and there was still no sign of life in the building or anyone around who could provide some. Several people had passed him, coming close on occasion causing his heart to rise with anticipation but as they walked on by the door and left the building further behind them, his hopes would spiral down in crushing force leaving him to check the time, sigh and check the address again. "Come on." The words left his thinly drawn lips in an aggitated whisper. His figure slid further down the wall before taking a slide to the left, another thump as he fell from the ledge of the building against the window and slid down to sit on the small ledge of the window. With his distress rising he tried to find a way to assuage his nerves making a quick run of his scarred hands through freshly ashened colored hair. Pale, sickeningly blue eyes darted up from the bowed head as his hands dropped through his hair, tugging some strands with it. It had just struck him as strange not to be completely mobbed, a change of hair color had worked for the young man with unparalleled ease and so far not a soul had talked to him.
A young girl was approaching the store. The blind looking eyes darted to her presence, holding fast in high hopes but quickly he realized this girl was just another hoping the shop was opened. This girl made a move he hadn't expected, she turned and looked right at him. "Do you know when she'll open?" The girl asked, coming closer. "No." His mumbled replied caused her to purse her lips in dissapointment. "You look familiar, have you been here before?" The girl asked. "Nope." The man leaned his back against the glass window in a casual, leisurely relaxation. "Are you sure... I mean..." The girl fumbled with her words, giving him a hard stare. "I know!" The young man's eyes gave a small pop. Know what? He leaned his head forward now, waiting for her to go on. "You remind me of the other clairvoyant." The girl said coming even closer. Dear God, get away. "No, I just came to see her." The man protested quickly shifting his head downwards hoping to hide some of his looks with out seeming rude. "No, really!" The girls enthusasim caused him to cringe. "You remind me of... uh... that man..." Oh hell, please shut up"Trust me I'm not-" "Karuma!" The girl cut him off whilest nearly shouting his name taking a hop of excitement closer. "His hair is blonde though but your eyes are just like his and... your hand... are you...?" The girl's eyes were growing wider and the man had nowhere to sink back into, he'd pressed himself awefullly tight to the window now. "Well aren't you a smart one." He finally murmured, hoping the girl wouldn't hear but her shriek assured him that he was done for. "Ohmygoodness! You're so, I can't believe, can you..." "Can you finish a sentance?" Karuma stood up, his height causing her to back up, he was taller then her just coming a bit above average yet nothing like his younger brother. "I'll tell you whatever, alright? Just, please keep your voice down." He spoke in quiet, reluctant tone. The girl instantly began racking off all the thing she admired about him, all the things she'd read and what the shopkeeper, the woman he was looking for, had told the girl about him. He became bored with her monotonous, high pitched rattling and idly played with the black bandage around his left hand - the one that led her to identify him.
Eventually, the girl's talking drew a crowd. Karuma's eyes strayed to the shop, praying the owner would come. He had come to talk to her and ended up entertaining what he assumed to be her entire costumer basis and his own minor fan club. It didn't help that the more claivoyant things he did as asked, the more people stopped to watch. If only the shop door would open, he'd sneak inside in a heartbeat and lock the madness out.

A teenage girl joined the crowd. Her soft dark eyes centered on the boy Karuma. Like others in the crowd she knew the dark haired boy, her mentor spoke off him often as if he where some rare treasure. She knew as well the Clairvoyant was away today so it was just her attending the shop keeping it clean and so forth.
Seeing him fidget though seem to break the spell of just watching him. Picking up her shopping basket she weaed through the crowd until she stood by his shoulder "Karuma?"She asked softly altpugh she knew his name but not the reason of his coming. Her skills where poor at best but then the dark haired boy didnt need to know that. "your expected would you like to come inside?"She asked producing a solid silver key with which she proceded to open the door not sure yet if Karuma would even follow her to the safety of the Old Womens small shop cum home.

Karuma's hands hand just dropped from one girl's as he made up some mystic fortune about her future just to get her to leave. The sickly eyes made a quick dart towards the soft spoken girl who had come up beside him. The hardened look was a vague mask trying to hide his annoyance at the ceaseless sea and the late shopkeeper. As the girl produced a glinting piece of metal his heart lifted. The silver key was like the cool breath of salvation over his burning needs. "Yes." The word escaped in an airy sigh of relief and he followed close behind his slender savior. "Thank God." He whispered sliding in the crack of the door behind the girl, rounding her to step to the other side giving her room to turn and shut the door behind her. "I thought I'd be out there all day." He murmured giving his head a small shake. The worn hands moved to his hair brushing it in roundabout nothingness, letting the darkened mess fall into it's own place.

"Im so sorry Im late" Pippa smiled softly closing the door to the crowd outside once he was firmly inside. Her soft dark eyes followed him, admiring his fine phisque. "Other matters kept me away"She added softly placing her basket of shopping on the counter."Please sit and make Yourself comfortable Karuma..."She gestured to the soft inviting chairs in the corner of te room. "I hope you will forgive my lateness can I offer you a drink, herbal tea prehaps..."She offered not once offering her name after all it wasnt her he saught was it? It was her absent Mentor, the witch and the idea of impersonating her yet was onl slowly creeping across her mind as she did as she alwas did with a new client. "Would you like me to treat your hand it looks like it must irrate you"

Karuma didn't say anything as she appologized. It wasn't alright that he'd been out there for so long and, though he had manners, he wouldn't say it was okay when it really wasn't. "Thank you." He replied in quiet undertones. His form made a heavy slide into the chair, the thump of air escaping the coushins as he collapsed. He'd been on his feet at the door all day, a good seat was like a welcomed privilage. "I will and a drink would be nice. Something cold?" He asked watching her settle the basket and certain things in the room. The question was rising in his mind if this was the girl he was looking for. There was the unmistakable air of youth around her, the sort of young and pretty that couldn't be some old witch yet something innocent. Karuma's lips gave a small twist at the thought but pulled in as she questioned about his hand. "I don't think you can do much for it." He replied sullenly as he drew his left hand closer in a mild state of unease by the topic. His fingers stroked the black cloth, pulling idly on the frayed edges. His hand was a problem he'd grown to ignore. It was partly covered because of his looks but mostly because of how subseptible he was to visions by touch.

Whilst he'd be examining the comfiest of her chairs, she had bushied herself in a litle Kitchen area , casting occasionally glances his way. If he was as powerful as her misstress had imlied why was he here in there simple cottage. She produced a tall glass of Lemonade, Home made of course with a few biscuits, again home made by her very hands. "I would be very careful I am trained well in the art of healing" Pippa smiled softly before rushing of to fetch a small med kit. "I will wear gloves so not to cause you dis comfort"She didnt know of his visions by touch but her misstress had informed her not to touch his hands claiming it to be a quirk on his part. It was something Pippa herself didnt question she just wanted to help the young adonis in the chair beside her"I think you should let me tend it whilst we talk , else it will fester and grow painful and sore we can speak of why you are here as I do so if you wish". Pippa hoped she could obtain enough clues to bluff her way through this without her deceptions bringing her disgrace.

Karuma slid forward in his chair and picked up the glass of lemonade put down for him. He drank some whilest she talked, self praising her skills and the glass made a small dip away from his lips. "You should know..." He watched her bound off for the medical kit. He paused, realizing she hadn't heard him and let her go on. Once she was seated next to him, he looked her full in the eyes. "It's not a fresh wound." He informed her, wondering if it would change anything. A light smile on his face spread on his face. Her spirit was amusing but more comical to him was that he was fixidly betting against her ability to do anything for him. "You really insist?" He asked. He wouldn't have let her look, infact it was a subject he wished to avoid yet her airy insistance had intrigued him and he'd let her proceed as some sort of test.

"I insit..."She repeated the words softly, as if the words held token of promise. She would improve the wound on his hand she was certain of it. Slipping on a pair of soft cotton gloves she eased of the black bandage to reveal a red angry wound. It looked liked he'd tried to clean it at some point which would make her job a little easier. Pouring some clear liqued into a small bowl she dipped in a cloth and began to clean it whispering words to ease healing, not once looking up to see his reaction as next she apllied a sour smelling cream over the blistered skin gratetful to have such a calm patient after all not once did he flinch , not even on bandaging it. Stripping the gloves she offered him the pot "Apply it twice a day for a week I dont think it will bother you after that... I didnt hurt you did I?"

Karuma offered his hand a bit hesitantly. As she unwrapped the bandage his eyes made several quick passages from his hand to her eyes. She didn't seem put off by the wound and there was no look that she knew how he got it. He could only hope she didn't ask. He had sat patiently while she fixed the wound. What she had thought was good behavior on his part, sitting unflinching through her service, was only an unfortunate result of the wound. He couldn't feel her touch, gentle as it may have been, because the wound had turned the area numb and layers of hiding scar tissue had killed nerves long ago. When his hand was released he heisitantly drew it back to himself, opening and closing the fist to assure her bandaging was good. Slowly, the blue eyes fell on the remedy she was offering him. A feeling of guilt constricted his stomach in shocking force leaving his face a shade paler and adverting his eyes. "Thank you." He murmured, tucking it into one pocket. "I'm sure it won't." His eyes locked on hers for the lie. He thought he had passed it off convincingly until her next question adverted his concentration and his fingers came to spin the silvery hoops stabbed through his ears in a display of self concious guilt. It was the same earring spin his mother had come to recognize as a tell tale sign of lying. Karuma knew the wound wouldn't get better. It was a self inflicted custom for him anymore. The pale eyes turned back to the girl, fixing on her wondering if she could see through what he had to say next. He realized after she had fixed his hand that he wasn't the powerful witch he'd been looking for. If she was, and he was trying to ignore this thought, she was good at hiding what she knew about him since she may knew more then he accredited her with. "No you didn't hurt me." He replied quietly. "You're good at what you do." The quiet eyes stayed on her with a calm expression, trying to get her to fidget.

A soft blush warmed her cheeks as she recieved his praise of her healing skills. She had noticed signs from the wound itself that it was purpousl done but that wasnt her part to say. Her job was to heal never to critise her patients. "It wasnt the wound that brought you here was it? Although you would rely on stealth to bring you here, although she was not by yourside tonight Karuma"She sat there calm and quiet biting her lip about speaking more of the injury. She was curious to hold he did it or rather more why. "Maybe you would like to tell me why you grace my doorway espicall on a day we are only open half day"

Karuma's eyes moved down across the rich wood of the table, shying away from the woman slowly trying to call his games out. His form shifted back into the chair, sinking into the curve of the back and the corner of the right arm, putting his elbow over it and curving his hand towards his temple using his fingers to prop his head up. "Mmm, she left me a while ago." He replied, playing along the lines of distracting humor to keep the woman off his deeper motives for visiting. The question, when directly asked, was met with a long pause. The young looking man slid his fingers up his temple to his dark hair, turning the strands over between his finger tips. "What is your name?" The enusing silence was split by the question. There was no right or wrong answer like the girl might have believed. He hadn't known the name of the woman he was looking for, just that she was the risiding master here, that she had power and for now she was his only aid. He had caught only brieft glimpses of this meeting, the clairvoyant couldn't help but know his own future. The matter at hands were an urgent need to him and he had to look into their answer anyway, even if the only answers were fleeting preminitions that lead him here.

Pippa sighed. As soon as she gave her name, he would realise she was mere apprentise and not the witch he saught. "Philippa, but you may call me Pippa if it suits"Se murmered watching him an excuse foir not telling him who she was already forming in her quick mind. Holding her own hands in her lap she offered him a warm smile "I guess it is hard to hide iin the shadows , when your own gift when you are so well known for the gift, and of course if im not mistaken your brother is on his own rising star right now...."She murmered wanting him to be the one on edge which is why she had hinted at Caleb being his brother a fact she wasnt really sure off, but generally her words could be deciphered in more than one way or another "Karuma you didnt answer my question. Tell me please why did you come today and wait for me to arrive...It makes sense to that your need is important. yet you hesitate. I promise you nothing that is said in here is repeated, its all strictly confidental "

"Pippa." He'd repeated her name as if to store it someplace in his memory. Though he didn't know the name of the woman he was seeking, her name didn't strike in him the sudden feeling he was hoping for, the feeling that this was it. Instead it was like a fluttering spark, there and gone and confusing. Karuma hadn't settled his emotions when she had thrown mention of his younger brother at him. He stared at her for a long moment, wondering how she managed to mention that one. She had to be the woman he was looking for if she knew that. He figured most clairvoyants would, or anyone who payed enough attention to his history. "Not to many people make that connection." He replied quietly. It was true, somehow his family had avoided putting to much connection between him and Caleb. Perhaps he could thank their different talents for keeping the splot light off both at once. His eyes came back to her as she again pressed him for the reason of his visit. He couldn't openly tell her that she hadn't gotten all his trust though he knew he should have. "I do have a reason." He murmured his agreement to her assumption. "There is something I can't figure out. The meaning of a sign, like in a dream." He was waiting to see her reactions, wondering if she knew dream meanings like he had heard and hoped.

Pippa watched Karuma, Maybe she should of chosen a classier name insteaed of her plain boring one, but at least the half fact about Caleb had paid off. "I can assure you Im not Most People Karuma..but Im the one you have chosen to help you"She pointed out softly waiting patientl like an angler for its fish.If she hurried him she'd lose him, and now she was curious as to what would bring Karuma to her little home, to request a meeting with her Misstress. Once he mentioned Dreams her heart sank, she had had some dream training, but would it be enough to help Karuma, after all although after everything she wanted to really help him, and to proove to herself she could do this as easily as her Misstress. "I cannot help you unless you explain the sign , then it is only my interpretation"She warned wanting to take his hand making sure he didnt detect her uneasness at the task in hand, hiding her fears of inadqueasy and nervousness. "so what is it you have seen and cannot deciper b your own skill?"

A slender smile held a shining moment on Karuma's lips as the woman spoke, reminding him she wasn't an average person. He drew a breath, regaining his straying mind, and slid forward in his chair. His fingers laced together and fell angled between his knees where he was leaning his arms. "My explinations a little, well, rough so bear with me." His hand strayed to his face, brushing back his dark bangs. His eyes, pale like the blinds, flicked to her face and fixed on her features with a mild interest. His attention was reverting in on itself, picking the explination and images from his mind. "It started as a short preminition, some boy in a fight. I told him to watch his back. You know, I didn't think much of it, boys are always in some scrap." He murmured. His weight shifted uncomfortably in the chair. "But then, I saw the same thing when I shook hands with some girl." A scowl was slowly working inbetween his eyebrows. "It only struck me as weird then. Two days later I started to dream about it, the vision from the boy, the girls fit right after and then there was some elaboration with different people, different place. Same idea." He sat up a little bit as though a thought had come to him. "The attackers are hard to make out but there's a sign, you have a pen?" He asked, ready to sketch it out for her. He would tell her what he really needed help with after he got the pen and paper.
