Sometimes Curiosity can kill the cat. Other times, like now they get a little burnt. Ok Sometimes a lot burnt. The arid smell of burnt fur and skin irritated her nostrils. Her skin was damp with sweat.Pain itched itself over her body Whomever had laid the fire trap had done the job well. She was well and truly trapped. All she could do was wait for the spell to take its course or be rescued.
How had she got herself in this mess. That was easy, despite her feline instincts she had made a lousy spy it seemed. All she had wanted was to get a closer a look at the new family she'd discovered living down the street. Her mom had given her clear instructions to stay away but she of course broke them.
It wasn't like she was going to talk to the Angels just look. The girl interested her. After all not many flew, not that she knew or read about anyway..She had been creeping along the branch catching a glimpse of Aurena. The next moment she had fallen and hit the ground hard the flames around her. Now she had to wait for the one that had taken her captive , to come and hopefully set her free.

She slowly wove her spelled string back and forth, weaving a moving picture of how she viewed the world. A world that didn't have a green leaf, but a pulse of purples and reds. A flare of red raced across her sightless eyes. It was a feeling she had gotten accustomed to long ago when Gabriel had managed to set his first trap. The animals had long since learned to stay away from the places he set traps. So who had gotten caught this time? She felt around for the window edge, running her fingers over the glass until they caught against a latch. The second the lock was released the window creaked open and allowed the smell inside. It was the acrid smell of fur burning. Forgetting the promise of staying inside while he was away that Gabriel had managed to pull out of her, Arunea pushed herself out of the open window. Large ivory wings spread with a snap, catching the ever present breeze. She hung still high in the air attempting to locate which of her brother's traps was activated. Though she couldn't see with her eyes, her head instinctively turned back and forth till the flare of magic shone. with skill and grace unexpected of the blind, she flew until she hovered in the air above the trapped animal. At least she expected it to be an animal. With apparent ease Arunea disabled the trap and settled down next to the captured. The thought that whatever it was biting her never crossed the young angel's mind. With innocence, she ran her hand over the fiercest wounds she could sense. "Are you alright?" she whispered, not expecting an answer.

Desari watched the creature above her. The very one she had been trying to spy on, had come to her rescue. At least she had discovered one thing , the girl at least really was an angel. "No" Her answer came out in a short sharp hiss. Could she trust this girl, she wasn't sure but her body hurt all over from the fall and the fire. "Your trap did its job after all"
Now she was free she could exam her bruises and burns, flinching as she touched the sorer spots. "Don't you always have your brother with you, where is he anyway?"

A smile spread over her face. "I suspect he's getting some books to read. I don't guess he'll be home soon, he usually takes a while. Then again if he realizes one of his traps was activated he might come home sooner." She glanced away as if looking for his presence beyond the grounds. "I'm not quite sure." With a quick snap the young angel realized that the girl she was with was still in pain. Guilt rushed over her like a wave. *And i call myself an angel* she berated herself. "Sit still please. I can't heal your wounds if you figget. I'm sorry my brother's trap hurt you. I tell him not to cast them, but he never listens. In his own way i guess he's trying to look out for me." She returned to running her hands over the wounds, trying to assess the damage. "This one hurt you pretty bad." She frowned. She would never yell at her brother because of the traps, but the fact that he had caught someone in such a dangerous one unnerved her. "You need to lay down so i can work. But it'll hurt when i grow the fur back..and some of these cuts feel deep. It'll take a bit to reknit the skin." She more spoke to herself than her patient. "If you'd like i can take you up to my room and you can rest while i work. Then again maybe the damage isn't too bad...i really am sorry he hurt you." to prove that she meant well Arunea pressed her hand against one of the burns. A light glow spilled from under her hand, seeping into the injury.

"Is he going to be mad?" Desari demanded. Gabriel was an unknown factor to her as of yet both angels where."I wont get you in trouble for helping me...I don't think he will like you with me.After all I'm the one the trap caught" For all the felines grand words she wanted her excuses to leave. She wasn't sure it was going to be that easy though. Not with her every fibre protesting in pain as she tried to rise, so in giving up for the moment she collapsed back to the floor ."You can fix fur Iimpossible!"She hissed holding her tail . Her once beautiful tail now had bald spots. "How am I going to get to your room, besides wont that make your brother Madder at me" She demanded watching her heal a burn on her leg. Thankfully the only fur she had was restrained to her ears and tail other wise she could of hurt a lot worse than she actually had.

Arunea let out a laugh the sound of a tinkling bell. "what Gabriel doesn't know won't hurt him. He's protective, but he doesn't have the heart to hurt anything while i'm around. sometimes i wonder if he really did take after mother and has more vampire in him. I'm being mean, let's get you to a bed." sliding her arms under her patient's body, Arunea cradled her close. Her wings spread, the sun glinting off the feathers in a way to make them glow. "I've never carried someone when i flew, but i'm sure we'll be alright." Not waiting for a response, she beat against the air, rising up until the angel could clearly sense the charms that would lead her back to her room. (hope her carrying desari's ok, if you want me to change it i'm more than willing) It never occurred to the girl just how she had planned on getting the cat to her bed, spread wings wouldn't fit, no matter how large the room was, and she certainly couldn't walk to the bed. carefully attempting to maneuver her "package" inside without tripping or dropping the wounded, Arunea forgot all about having to close her wings to fit safely through the opening. One wing clipped the window pane causing both of them to fall inside with no grace. Out of instinct, or an ingrained wish to protect, the angel threw out a wing below them to cushion the fall. Both landed safely, but there was a sickening crack when they did. Pain shot through arunea, stealing her breath and clenching her jaw. "I'm sorry, that was clumsy, i hope you're alright." With the unpinned side, she reached for a large pillow she knew to be nearby. "We'll have to wait till Gabriel gets home before we move you to the bed, i can't take you. But until then, i promise this is just as comfortable." She dropped the pillow and gently pulled the cat onto it. "You should talk, it'll distract you." she managed a weak smile. "We'll start with your name. You obviously know mine, since you seem to know about my brother also. But it's nice to meet you..." content that she had started the ball rolling, she forced her attention to the wounds. Remembering the cat's comment about regrowing fur, she grabbed the tail and slowly worked her way down it, pouring the need to grow into the burned and broken hairs. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she tried to ignore the throbbing pain that coursed through her body. *My wing's broken. Gabriel is going to be furious when he gets home. This is the one time i'm glad he's still looking for mother.* Finishing with the tail, she awkwardly shifted her body to reach other burns and cuts. delving into the wound she forced her magic into the hurting flesh, caressing the sliced nerves to fuse once again with their other half. She convinced nature to work faster, with a push of magic, to knit flesh back together and push fresh unmarred skin to the surface and over the rawness of the burns. She reluctantly left each place, wishing to stay in the depths of magic and focus on someone else's body. There she felt only their pain, like a ghost that remembers what it felt like to be cut. There her wing wasn't broken, she couldn't feel the ripped muscle and nerves, or the bone scraping together.

mm Vampire that was new information to the Neko. How did it balance out to be both light and dark? She would have to ask once they were safely inside maybe she'd ask her She tensed as she felt the girl pick her up. At least the feline knew she wouldn't be to heavy for the blind girl. Flying that was a new expensive one the neko was sure she didn't want to repeat. She let out a long hiss as her body went crashing on to the floor. "Desari, but my friend's call me Dara"" She supplied readily when prompted"Are you okay it looks like you hurt yourself?"She asked both concerned for the angel's safety and her own should Gaberiel try and blame her for his sister's pain "You don't have to heal me"She protested examining her new tail "You really should see to your own injury"She winced as Aurena sort to heal her "I will be okay I swear. How long till he gets home anyway."She once more asked the question, not wanting to see her new 'friend' in to much pain and discomfit.A pain that was all her fault.

"My pain's irrelevant at the moment...Dara" she said the name hesitantly, as though tasting how it sounded on her tongue. She clenched her teeth, forcing back the pain. "Gabriel should be home-Oh, hello Gabriel." she looked up to see her brother's aura sitting on her bed. With a sweet smile painted on her face, she turned back to the girl. "I never understood why i could never feel his presence. We are siblings after all." Gabriel had run as fast as he could manage when he felt one of his traps activate, and then again when he sensed his twin in pain. He was livid. Someone unknown who smelled of grave dirt sat in his sister's room, abusing her power of healing. He could see the broken wing. It hung limp, twisted at an impossible angle. "What the hell do you think you're doing here!" he hissed at the newcomer. Leaping from the bed he headed straight for her. It was his sister's voice that stopped him. "Gabriel! Don't you dare hurt my friend! I offered to heal her wounds, my clumsiness is my own fault." She glared at her brother. "But you can't heal yourself Arunea. i don't like to see you in pain." he sat next to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his cheek on her hair. Arunea knew her brother worried, and she gladly accepted it. "Read us a story Gabe, please read to us." her voice became more childlike and her face more innocent. Ready to obey any command his sister might ask for, he went to the door. Turning back he glared at Dara, baring his fangs. "If you ever harm her again i will make sure you never leave this house." With that he left. "Sorry for him. He's a very good person, he just isn't very trusting. You're almost-AH" she jerked viciously as her broken wing was moved. Pain overwhelmed her, coursing through her, smothering her. Her body ached for her to cry out, but she bit it back. "Give me just a moment.." she said through clenched teeth.

"No it isn't Aurena..."She complained trying to get the Angel to see to her own needs instead of her.The feline felt guilty for the damaged wing. If she wasn't feeling so drained from being in the other girl's presence, Desari would have attempted to heal the broken wing herself. It was the downside of being related to Hades himself. Alert and trying to stand at the moment Gaberiel launched himself at her,so far his threats were just words but sometimes even words can be dangerous. "You're sister was trying to help me, that's all. Who are you to dictate what she does?" She hissed angrily at the boy. For all her hot air she could do little against an angel but she wouldn't let that stop her. Seeing him retreat to the bed she once more sank to the floor. "Your threats don't scare me Gabriel so don't even try"She murmured deciding to let it drop, not wanting to upset her new friend. Once more she resigned herself to Aurenas healing touch, not having the heart to tell her the girl's healing magic seemed to deplete her strength. "Can he heal you Aurena, or can you please heal yourself. I will be fine ail that is left is a few bruises on my legs, You shouldn't be in pain like that" She made no movement to discuss Gabriels temperament towards her, just her concern at the discomfort of her friend.

Even though her eyes were clenched shut, she could see the worry yellow stream off of her new friend. "I...i can't heal myself. My powers don't work on personal injuries. Gabriel is a vampire, he can't heal me either." Refusing to let herself be so overwhelmed at her own pain that she couldn't help her friend, Runee focused all her energy on any wounds around her. The black of a wound was faint, but it gave her a focal point. It also revealed something else she hadn't expected..."Dara...am i hurting you?" her aura seemed more sluggish than it had when she had first started healing her. All of the other people she had healed had vitality bursting through their aura, causing an almost blinding light...Dara did not. The thought that she could actually be hurting someone by healing them astounded her..She was an angel wasn't she? All of her powers were there to heal and protect. "Oh no." guilt flooded her body. "Gabriel!" she called, "Gabriel come here!" if she was doing more harm than help to her friend she would have to make it right. Gabriel practically knew everything, so perhaps he knew what to do.
Gabriel had been listening intently for any sign that leaving his sister alone was a bad idea. He held the books close to him, needing something to clutch onto. His quickened pace doubled when he heard her calling him to come. Scenarios flashed through his mind. The new visitor was actually a vampire and wanted to drink pure blood, she was really just a puppet come to imprison his sister so she would have to heal on command..the scenes went on and on. "Runee..What is it, are you alright, did something happen?" he yelled. A few more steps and he was in the room. The scene looked very much like the one he'd left. His sister's wing had moved slightly, but still the cat girl was sitting on a pillow. No more harm seemed to have befallen his beloved sister. "What happened?" this time he directed the question, which sounded much too much like an accusation, to the cat. "Gabriel, please, Dara hasn't done anything to me i promise. I called you back because it seems i've been hurting her." Her voice was soft and patient, much like the voice one would expect to hear from a mother to her child. Intrigued more than suspicious at his sister's words, he made his way over to her, dropping the books on a nearby table. "You're an angel Runee..healing is what your good at." he held her hand. her face grew slightly frustrated. "Seems i'm not....That's why i asked you to come. I want to know what would make my power hurt her." with her other hand the angel groped for Dara's. She squeezed it, almost afraid the girl would pull away. Gabriel didn't know the answer, but if his sister wanted to know, he'd do anything to find out. even if that included beating it out of the reason she was worried...Dara. He glared at the girl, as though trying to sense what she was and if she was powerful enough to get her. *i may not be able to get my vampire abilities, but i have plenty of tricks up my sleeve* he growled to himself.

"Why not?" Desari could feel herself grow drowsy. It seemed the girls healing didn't only affect her magical powers but her physical state too. It was that or her body was in some state of shock. "There should be someone who can heal you?"She yawned, unable to stifle it. "No..." Her denial was readily on her lips not wanting to upset her host and friend. A sigh rippled through her body Gabriel was coming and he had decided she was to be an enemy and never an ally.
Did she look like she could be a threat to the angel? This vampire needed his head checking if he thought that by the scene in front of him. "Does it look like you're sister is hurt Gabriel!" The feline hissed angrily . Being angry at him kept the tiredness from her being. . Runees touch seemed to calm her , stop her from throwing her temper.. He wasn't the only one with tricks up there sleeve."Aurena hasn't hurt me Gabriel I don't know why she thinks she has!" This time she couldn't keep the tiredness from her voice " Help me to tell her that I'm okay please?" With the connection to two angels seem to drain her further even though Gabriel's touch was indirect

he eyed her suspiciously, not sure if she was honestly trying to make his sister feel better or not. Taking the chance that the grave cat was telling the truth, though he was not quite sure why he believed her, he took his sister's hands. "Runee, listen to me" he spoke softly, already noticing the strain on her face. "Dara is fine. You healed her, and that's the important part remember? Maybe she's just tired from the excitement, you haven't hurt her. She's even saying so herself. She'll be fine with some sleep, you on the other hand....we need to splint your wing." Runee couldn't see the difference anymore. Her brother and Dara seemed to have made a united front, one she couldn't see a chink in. Reluctantly she nodded her head, accepting she was wrong as easily as a child does. She would get answers eventually, and Gabriel was right, her wing needed to be splinted or she would be crippled completely. "Dara...would you mind staying here? Just..just for a little bit until father and his friend get home." What she didn't add was that her father had befriended her and Gabriel's mother's sire. Something she was sure no one needed to know. Just like she knew there was no sinister reason her father's friend took such an interest in the twins. He told them he was looking for a necromancer, and neither she nor Gabe that that kind of power. She wished she believed her idea that nothing bad would happen.

Desari withdrew gratefully from the twins. Gabriel was right she needed sleep, to sleep long enough to refuel her energies. She wasn't yet ready to explain to her new friend why her healing had drained her so. That information would have Gabriel baying once more for her blood , with good reason. Devils and Angels don't mix. One was bad for the other. She was already ready for sleep curled catlike on the pillow. Aurena's wing was no longer her worry now Gabriel was here to see to it. "Won't he be upset I'm here" She yawned looking at Gabriel. Surely the male would want her gone as quick as possible. Sleep would not be starved of for long and was already starting to claim the young cat. "After all I'm hardly an invited guest" Her argument was caught up in sleep's sweet melody.
(sorry its short and making her fall asleep. I promise she'll wake up in the next post. Maybe when the two men have arrived home?)

Arunea smiled softly. "It's alright. You need rest." Gabriel said nothing, focusing his energies on his sister's wing. If his sister wanted her to stay, she'd stay. It took a good hour to properly set the wing. Gabriel was so against hurting his sister she had to persuade him that moving the wing to it's right position was only temporary pain and would be over soon. He finally complied when she informed him that a wings not set would cause her constant pain. Though Runee was the first to feel her father and his friend come home, Gabriel sensed the power her father's friend had quicker. He stiffened as the scent of blood wafted under his nose. "Why is there a vampire here?" he wondered out loud. His sister prayed for him not to think the man had come with information about mother. She and only she knew what had happened, and as long as she could, she would take it to her grave. "I wonder if he knows about mother...i wonder if that's why he's here..." he started to rise, stopped only when small shaky fingers latched onto his sleeve. Her eyes were clouded and wide with fear. "He's not here for mother. Please Gabriel, stay here." She whispered. With great reluctance he sat back down, wondering why his sister was so intent on being quiet. As the sounds of someone walking up the stairs grew louder, his sister grew colder and colder. she shook violently now.
Arunea could "see" the people on the other side of the door, just as she could see that her father's pure being was being corrupted by his own will. She held her breath as a hand reached for the doorknob. She started regretting telling Dara to stay. What if something happened to her too? As quietly as she could, she shifted herself in front of her friend enough so that maybe they wouldn't notice her. "F-Father is that you? Do you have a visitor?" she called out, trying to be cheery as possible. Her hand gripped gabriel's tightly. This man wanted them, and she was almost certain it wasn't because he loved teenagers. the vampire walked in first, scenting the air lightly. "Vell Jeoffery, it seems as tho i owe you an apology. There they are, the little ones." He smiled toothily at the twins.

Throughout the hour Desari slept, her aura beginning to glow again as energy once more seeped into her being.A strange scent woke her , tickling her nose with that tell tale scent. One she thought she would never smell as strong here, after all it was weak on the twins themselves. Why is there a Vampire here Gabriel's words confirmed her fears. Vampires where hard to beat, epically those masters of there race. The young neko decided to wait and listen to what it wanted before she acted in any way or form.
She listened ears perked as the creature's first steps entered Aurena's room Fear echoed in her sweet friend urged the neko to protect the Angel all she could. The vampire sniffed once more "Vell little ones let me see what you are hiding" Without waiting for the twins to move from his path he attempted to push Aurena aside. Desari hissed at the creature, giving up all pretense of sleep."Leave her alone" Desari hissed standing tall and looking up at the vampire. Damn it why was everyone taller than her. "I think this kitty needs her claws cut don't you Gabriel"The vampire had grabbed Desari "She may even wake your dormant powers boy if her sire is high enough"
Desari struggled attempting her freedom. She was not prepared to be anyones lunch "Would you like the first bite boy?" He asked baring his fangs he cut her wrist , testing the twin's with the scent of her blood "Come here boy , prove you are you're mother's son"He demanded before adding his single bluff "Drink and I will tell you of your mother" To the vampire ifGanriel turned fully to his darker half he would become more useful. He knew little of the twin's mother, or her were abouts. Desari froze the moment her wrist had been cut and the vampire (Jasper?) invited the boy to drink. Would her gifts show up in her blood, the mere fact she was a demi goddess and her father was Hades himself. Just once she'd like her gifts to work as they should, if it was so she could pull up a rather malevolent ghost to hurt him and regain her freedom. The simple worry that Gabriel might drink her dry was a worry that had yet to cross her already worried mind.
(i hope thats ok if anything needs changing don't be afraid to say so.. I need to work in that shes a novice necromancer but not sure how yet.. What did happen to the t wins mother... and your vampire needs a name)
